About Deep Cut Threads
What is Deep Cut Threads?
Deep Cut Threads exists for one reason: because not every t-shirt needs a giant band logo on it.
We make apparel inspired by the music, internet culture, gaming, memes and neurodiversity that have shaped us. The best reactions are the quiet ones — when someone spots your shirt across the room and says, “Wait… is that…?”
If you get the reference, you’re one of us.
Are your designs made with AI?
Some are.
Every design starts as an idea. We come up with the reference, decide how the joke works, choose the composition, colours and overall aesthetic, then use AI as one of the tools to bring it to life.
Some designs come together quickly. Others go through dozens of revisions before we’re happy with them.
Think of AI like Photoshop, Illustrator or a camera. They’re all creative tools. The creativity comes from the person using them.
Isn't AI just cheating?
Only if you think using a sewing machine is cheating because someone once stitched everything by hand.
Anyone can type a prompt.
Creating something people actually want to wear is the difficult bit.
Ideas still matter. Taste still matters. Knowing when something looks awful definitely still matters.
We’d rather spend our time making shirts that make people smile than arguing about what tool was used to make them.
Aren't these copyright infringement?
No.
Our designs are inspired by the things we love, not copied from them.
We avoid using official logos, artwork and other protected material. Instead, we create original designs that give a nod to a reference without simply reproducing someone else’s work.
Half the fun is seeing who gets it.
Why don't you sell official band merch?
Because the bands already do a great job of that.
Go and support them.
Our stuff isn’t here to replace official merchandise. It’s made for the references that don’t usually end up on a t-shirt — the obscure lyric, the internet rabbit hole, the shared in-joke or the thing that makes another fan grin from across the room.
Why "Deep Cut Threads"?
Because the best songs were never the singles.
Neither are the best references.
Everything we make is designed for people who get the reference without needing it explained. Sometimes it’s a lyric. Sometimes it’s a meme. Sometimes it’s a twenty-year-old internet video that still lives rent-free in your head.
If you have to explain your t-shirt to someone, that’s part of the fun.
Orders & Shipping
Where's my order?
Every item is printed especially for you after you order it, so things take a little longer than grabbing something off a warehouse shelf.
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email with tracking details so you can follow its journey. If you think something’s gone wrong, send us your order number and we’ll happily look into it.
How long does shipping take?
Production usually takes 2–5 working days before your order is dispatched.
After that, delivery times vary depending on where you live, but most UK orders arrive within 7–10 working days from the date you placed your order.
Good things take time. Especially when they’re made just for you.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the products you’ve ordered.
We don’t inflate shipping prices to make extra profit. We’d rather spend that effort making better t-shirts.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely.
As long as you’re in the UK or US.
Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on your country, and any import duties or taxes are the responsibility of the recipient where applicable.
Can I return or exchange something?
If your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, let us know and we’ll make it right.
Because every item is made to order, we can’t accept returns or exchanges simply because you’ve changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, so please check the size guides before ordering.
How do I choose the right size?
Every product includes a size guide on its product page.
If you’re between sizes, we’d generally recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit. If you’ve got a favourite t-shirt at home, compare its measurements with our guide for the best chance of getting the fit you want.
My tracking hasn't updated. Should I panic?
Probably not.
Tracking can sometimes take a day or two to update after your parcel has been dispatched, especially when it’s moving between courier systems.
If it’s been several days with no movement at all, get in touch with your order number and we’ll investigate.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Maybe—but you’ll need to be quick.
Because your order goes into production soon after it’s placed, we can only make changes or cancel it before printing begins. If you’ve spotted a mistake, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to catch it in time.
My order arrived damaged. What now?
First of all… that’s shit.
Send us a photo of the damage, along with your order number, within a reasonable time of receiving it, and we’ll work with our production partner to sort out a replacement or another suitable solution as quickly as possible.
Random Questions
Can you make a design about my idea?
Absolutely.
Some of our favourite ideas have come from other people. If you’ve got a reference you think deserves a t-shirt, send it over.
We can’t promise we’ll make it, but we can promise we’ll have a look.
The more niche, the better.
Do you take custom orders?
Not at the moment.
We’d love to say yes, but we’d quickly end up spending our days making “Kev’s Stag Do 2027” shirts in Comic Sans.
We’ll stick to making things we’d actually wear ourselves.
I don't get the references...
That’s okay.
Not every design is meant for everyone.
The whole point of Deep Cut Threads is making apparel for people who do get the reference. If you have to ask what it means, congratulations—you’ve just discovered a new rabbit hole to disappear down.
Why is your FAQ like this?
Because life’s too short for corporate copy.
We could have written “Please refer to our Returns Policy for further information.”

Do you sell official band merchandise?
No.
If you’re looking for official merch, we’d genuinely encourage you to buy directly from the band whenever you can.
We’re inspired by the culture surrounding heavy music—not interested in copying someone else’s work.
What's your favourite design?
That’s like asking someone to pick their favourite breakdown.
It changes constantly.
Usually it’s whichever one we’ve just finished… until the next idea turns up.

Despite what the internet might have told you, AI isn’t brilliant at proofreading, and humans occasionally have the reading ability of a damp potato. If you spot something, let us know and we’ll fix it.
Do you actually listen to this music?
Yes.
Nobody spends this much time arguing over whether a BLEGH was properly executed without being genuinely invested.
Why don't you have that reference yet?
Probably because we haven’t thought of it.
Or we have, and we’re still trying to work out how to turn it into something people would actually wear.
